Military suicide has become a pandemic. Awareness has to be made and prevention available.
I am breaking the silence not only for PTSD, but for suicide as well. Everybody either knows somebody who has taken their own life or knows somebody who knows somebody.
The first Saturday in September (Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month) we host a 5K Walk/Run through the streets of Aledo, Illinois. Photos of the 22 Too many are passed out and worn and we honor and remember all those lost to the battle within.
All proceeds go to Courtney Jo's Closet.
